Daniel Cooksley was born and raised in California until the age of 15. He then ventured out to live a life on the sea. Which he did. For almost 16 years he traveled the oceans as a fisherman. Then, without regret, he hung up his Captain’s hat and set out to pursue acting. He’s been on the stages of Orlando for almost 14 years and has recently taking the leap to film. Another adventure has begun.
For the past 14 years he has been heavily involved with the theatre community of Central Florida where he’s been a part of over 40 productions. Notable roles include; Max in Martin Sherman’s Bent, Brick (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Happy Loman (Death of a Salesman), Stanley (A Streetcar Named Desire), Karl/Steve- (Clybourne Park), R.P. McMurphy (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest) and most recently, Joe Cooper in Treac Letts- Killer Joe .Film credits include Not a Trace of Tracy, Polaroid and Golden Foot.
